Evo Review methodology

Review methodology

Research-led comparisons, with firsthand evidence labeled plainly.

Evo's current product pages are evidence-led shortlists. We have not hands-on tested every product, and we do not present desk research as laboratory or clinical testing.

What the current comparisons use

We compare current product labels, formulation details, serving size, independent verification, practical convenience, and approximate price. Category-specific health context is checked against the source hierarchy in our editorial policy.

Manufacturer statements are treated as manufacturer statements. A certification is credited only when its program or current listing can be identified. Formulations and prices can change, so readers should verify the current label before purchase.

What a score means today

Existing scores are editorial comparison scores informed by the factors disclosed on each page. They are not lab measurements, clinical-effect estimates, or proof that the top-ranked product is best for every person. Until a category publishes a reproducible, weighted protocol and original observations, its score should be read as a research-led ordering rather than a performance test result.

Hands-on testing standard

When Evo says it tested a product, the page should name the protocol, testing date, products and variants used, measurements taken, and material limitations. Original notes and photography should support firsthand claims. Label research, outside evidence, and direct use must remain visibly separate.

Evo is pausing expansion into new review categories until two existing guides demonstrate this standard. No product receives a medical recommendation from its rank.

Selection, independence, and updates

Products qualify because they are relevant to the category and can be compared on disclosed criteria—not because a company pays to appear. As of August 12, 2026, Evo does not accept sponsored placement and the product links on these pages are not affiliate links.

Future samples, affiliate relationships, sponsorships, or other conflicts must be disclosed on the affected page. Substantive changes to a product, protocol, score, or ranking should update the page date and, where material, its correction or update note.
