How to reconstitute BPC-157
Reconstitution means adding a sterile diluent to a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder. Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is a sterile multi-dose diluent containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol; use it only when it is appropriate for the contents of your vial. The diluent and storage instructions supplied with a specific product take priority.
Choose the diluent volume
Most peptide vials hold no more than 3 mL. If you do not have a different volume specified, 2 mL is a practical default: it fits most vials and usually produces a concentration that is straightforward to measure on an insulin syringe. Do not add more liquid than the vial can hold, and do not use tap, bottled, or other non-sterile water.
The amount of diluent changes the concentration, not the total amount of peptide in the vial. More liquid creates a lower concentration and a larger syringe draw for the same dose; less liquid creates a higher concentration and a smaller draw. A vial may still look partly empty after reconstitution because the lyophilized powder occupies very little space. The dose is determined by the concentration you created—not by how full the vial looks.
- Prepare a clean work area. Wash and dry your hands. Gather the vial, the correct sterile diluent, alcohol swabs, new sterile syringes and needles, and a sharps container.
- Inspect the vial and diluent. Check the names, amounts, expiration dates, seals, and expected appearance. Do not use a container with a damaged seal or visible contamination.
- Record the planned volume. Use the calculator to confirm the concentration and draw volume, then write down the vial amount and exact diluent volume before you begin.
- Clean the vial stoppers. Wipe each rubber stopper with a fresh alcohol swab and let it dry completely. Avoid touching the cleaned surface.
- Draw the diluent. With a new sterile syringe and needle, draw the exact volume you selected. Remove large air bubbles so the transferred volume remains accurate.
- Add it slowly along the vial wall. Direct the stream down the inside glass rather than forcefully onto the powder. This reduces foaming and agitation.
- Gently swirl until dissolved. Rotate or roll the vial gently. Do not shake it. Let any foam settle, then inspect the solution for undissolved material, particles, cloudiness, or unexpected color.
- Label the finished vial. Record the peptide amount, diluent and volume, resulting concentration, mixing date, and the storage or discard date that applies to that formulation.
Storage and when to discard it
Storage temperature and usable life after mixing depend on the peptide, diluent, sterility, and formulation. Bacteriostatic water allows repeated withdrawals from its own container, but it does not create a universal 4- or 6-week stability period for everything mixed with it. Use the storage conditions and beyond-use date supplied for the product. Discard a mixed vial if that date passes or if the seal is damaged, the solution changes appearance, or contamination is possible.
How to draw from a vial
First confirm that the calculator result matches the syringe in your hand. On a U-100 syringe, 100 units equals 1 mL; other syringe types use different markings.
- Start with clean hands and a new sterile syringe and needle. Never reuse a needle or syringe and never share injection equipment.
- Clean the vial stopper with a fresh alcohol swab and let it dry.
- Draw air into the syringe equal to the liquid volume you plan to withdraw. Insert the needle through the stopper and push that air into the upright vial without forcing or over-pressurizing it.
- Invert the vial and keep the needle tip below the liquid surface.
- Pull back slowly to just past the target mark. Tap bubbles toward the needle and push the air and excess liquid back into the vial.
- Read the final volume at eye level. Align the correct edge of the plunger with the target line, confirm the units and volume one more time, and then remove the needle.
- Dispose of used sharps promptly. After one use, place the needle and syringe in an FDA-cleared sharps container. Do not leave loose needles in household trash or recycling.
Where people buy it, and what those sellers publish
BPC-157 is not available on prescription, so the material people reconstitute comes from research-chemical sellers whose published evidence varies widely. Our BPC-157 supplier comparison records what twenty of the most visible sellers actually publish: whether a purity report is hosted by the testing laboratory or only by the seller, listed prices per milligram, and stock.
One finding from that work is worth carrying to this page. Six of those twenty sellers publish a batch certificate that names no laboratory at all, and one is headed “First-Party COA” with identical manufacturing, sampling and analysis dates. A lot-specific certificate is not automatically an independent one, and only opening the file reveals which you have. Evo does not sell peptides and takes no commission from anyone listed.
There is no established BPC-157 dose for this calculator to quote
The other molecule pages on Evo name the doses their published trials used, because those trials exist. This one cannot, and saying so plainly is more useful than filling the space. USADA states that BPC-157 is not approved for human clinical use by the FDA or any other global health authority, that there are no human clinical trials establishing efficacy for any diagnosis or treatment, and that it is unknown whether there is a safe dose.
The microgram and milligram figures that circulate in forums and on vendor pages are extrapolated from rodent studies or copied between sellers. An animal dose does not convert to a human one by body weight, and a number repeated across twenty websites is still one number with no study behind it.
The regulatory position has moved, and not in the direction vendor pages suggest. FDA placed BPC-157 in category 2 of its interim 503A policy, having identified significant safety risks pending further evaluation. As of the agency’s April 2026 update it appears instead under bulk drug substances nominated but withdrawn, because the nominators withdrew the nomination. That ends the evaluation; it does not clear the substance, and it leaves no route to legal compounding. Separately, WADA prohibits BPC-157 under category S0 at all times, in and out of competition.
So the arithmetic above is exactly what it appears to be. Given a vial amount, a water volume, and a dose you have decided on elsewhere, it returns the concentration and the syringe draw. It is not evidence that the dose is appropriate, effective, or safe, and Evo has no basis on which to tell you what to enter.
